Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Dave — a Christian, a husband, a dad of two amazing kids, and leader of Freedom Church Chester. My days are usually filled with meetings, mediocre coffee, church community, family chaos, and my 2 dogs. I try to keep things honest and real, not writing as someone who has everything sorted, but as someone learning to follow Jesus through struggles, weaknesses, failures, questions, and the slow ongoing work of God’s grace in ordinary life. Rough Around The Halo is about faith forged in the real world — not polished, performative Christianity, I know I’m not perfect and I reserve the right to be wrong, to change my mind, and lean into the grace of God.

I’m available for guest speaking at churches, conferences, retreats and other Christian events. I love opening the Bible in a way that’s clear, honest, practical and occasionally a little rough around the edges.
